GuruMahan is the founder of Paranjothi Holistic Wellness. His inspiration, energy, wisdom and blessings are the reason behind the creation of this organization, with the vision of helping every individual live a peaceful, happy, healthy, wealthy and fulfilled holistic life.

 

Also known as Jagathguru Maha Maharishi Paranjothiyar, GuruMahan is a spiritual exponent who has attained self-realization and enlightenment. Born on February 11, 1955 in Tamil Nadu, India, his spiritual journey began at the age of seven after a profound out-of-body experience. From an early age, he immersed himself in yoga, sacred texts, and pilgrimages to holy sites in search of truth.

 

At the age of 19, he was introduced to Kundalini Yoga and came under the guidance of his master, Jagat Mahaguru “Gnanavallal” Paranjothi Mahan. Encouraged by his guru to live a family life alongside his spiritual practice, GuruMahan embraced a path of balance and began sharing the transformative power of Kundalini Yoga with the world. Since 1991, he has also been performing the annual Velvi (holy penance) inside the Pranavalayam (Pyramid) for 21 days, dedicated to fostering Universal Peace and collective well-being.

 

He also initiated the transformative Peace Program and founded the Universal Peace Foundation, beginning a lifelong mission to spread peace, love, and understanding across the globe. In recognition of his remarkable contributions to global peace, he was honoured in 2011 with the prestigious “Ambassador for Peace” award by the Universal Peace Federation, Malaysia—an organization affiliated with the United Nations.

 

Through his blessings and vision, Paranjothi Holistic Wellness continues to bring together ancient wisdom and practical guidance for modern living, inspiring people across the world to cultivate peace, joy, and holistic well-being.

Paranjothi Mahan

Jagat MahaGuru “Gnanavallal” Paranjothi Mahan was born on May 2, 1900, in South India. From an early age, he carried an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and a deep yearning to discover the truth of life. Devoting himself to spiritual practices and pilgrimages, his pursuit culminated on November 11, 1911, at 11:11 a.m., when he attained divine wisdom.

At the age of 16, Paranjothi Mahan travelled to Rangoon, where his inner quest for truth continued to intensify. On January 7, 1938, he received initiation into the Tantric system of Yoga, a turning point that brought a profound transformation in his spiritual journey. Through deep meditation and dedicated inner research, he advanced swiftly on the path and ultimately attained the state of enlightenment. 

He is regarded as the founding father of all modern Kundalini Yoga practices. By simplifying Kundalini Yoga and its initiations, he made it accessible not only to renunciates but also to householders, business people, and even political leaders, enabling people from every walk of life to practice and benefit. To fulfill his vision of Universal Peace through individual peace, he also established the Universal Peace Sanctuary, a space dedicated to guiding humanity toward harmony and collective well-being.

UNIVERSAL PEACE FOUNDATION is a registered Trust with the vision of “Universal Peace through Individual Peace”. Founded in 1994, Universal Peace Foundation has been addressing the subtle layers of human personalities to enable internal transformation to discover the true potential of individuals.

Universal Peace Foundation has been adopting proven methodologies of Yoga, Pranayama and Kundalini Meditation to bring about the desired transformation. UPF, under the blissful guidance of Gurumahan has several qualified faculty members called “wisdom teachers” through whom the mission has been fulfilled.

Universal Peace Foundation offers various powerful in-house programmes such as Mahashakthi Yogam, Kundalini Yoga Initiation, Advanced Kundalini Meditation etc. which enable participants introspect into deeper layers of oneself and elevate to higher planes of spiritual consciousness.
